DO Travel - The Agency with the "Personal Touch"

Doris Olson has a travel and tourism degree from Midstate College in Peoria, and is also a graduate of Carl Sandburg. After a number of years working for others in the travel business she opened DO TRAVEL in Monmouth, Illinois in 2003. DO TRAVEL is a small home based business. This allows tight expense control and allows an almost "no limits" hours of operation. When she's out of the office, call forwarding allows customers to reach her on a cell phone. Our business motto is "The Agency With A Personal Touch" as Doris really enjoys planning trips, the details, the questions, so that customers come back.

One of our most successful ventures are our Branson trips. Several are planned for this year. Group travel is very popular now. Last year we took two coaches to the "Taste of Home kitchens" in addition to a number of other coach tours. We also have tours planned for the Amish Colonies, The Grand Canyon, Peoria and Nashville.

Shipboard cruises are another specialty. Doris is a certified Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) agent. Membership requires yearly recertification. Doris also does regular cruise ship inspections in the U.S. and Canada.

She has recently traveled to Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Bavaria. Also China, Jamaica, Mexico, Hawaii, and the Canadian Rockies. She has also experienced a European River Cruise, Barbados, Bahamas and other islands.

For trips to Las Vegas, we regularly inspect available properties so that we are aware of what is available to travelers, especially first timers.
